Japanese menswear brand rewords/rewordsdesign recently revealed collection for S/S 2016.

Amazing cuts, layers, materials, details, whole concept of the photos... the collection is better than any previous. Yosuke Watanabe, designer of the brand, explained that the inspiration is drawn from the music style of late 80s - shoegaze.  

"It is based on intellectual melancholy, sharpness and feedback-noise of shoegaze. Whole collection is strongly influenced by great names such as Lilys, My Bloody Valentine and much more. The details of the material are simply the viewpoint of the observer(gazer). Everyone feels and sees things differently," explained Watanabe.

Urban and modern with slight touch of futuristic minimalism, SS 16 collection is made to fit any wearer's style.

Gareth Pugh - S/S 2016

Since he returned to LFW, Pugh doesn't stop to dazzle everyone around. S/S 2016 show was held at Soho’s Brewer Street Car Park, heartbeat of London. “For me Soho’s a little bit like Disneyland or a fairground, it’s about fantasy or escapism, you can go there and be somebody else,” said Pugh.
He once more showed why his name stands out on fashion weeks. Collection itself was retro-futuristic themed with full tight latex covered legs and mesh face masks with painted makeup on them. Hair was replaced by wigs that resemble the late 70s punk-rock style, combined with the eccentric make-up, a look Pugh described as  “a little bit Lindsay Kemp, a little bit Divine, a little bit Leigh Bowery and a little bit sick and twisted.”
Overall, glamorous and grotesque at the same time, attractive but strange, these girls with painted masks are whoever you wanted them to be. The spirit of S/S 16 collection is abnormally sexy.

Public School - S/S 2016 RTW

Not long after presenting their menswear line, Public School showed they can do things even better. At New York Fashion Week, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne presented their sporty minimalist design aesthetic.
Their SS16 RTW collection contains different styles, materials, lengths, and overall the spirit. Color palette is minimal in shades of black, white, and navy, with the perfect touch of light blue and red. It seems like good combination of western urban sporty style and eastern Zen vibes.
“She’s been around the world and back. She has spent time in Europe and Asia but ultimately her home is here in New York City. She’s come back with a new perspective, enlightened and liberated in a way. That’s how we felt designing the collection,” said Dao-Yi Chow.

Skingraft - S/S 2016

Few days ago Skingraft’s S/S 2016 runway show was unveiled on one of the many catwalks of New York fashion week.
"This collection is inspired by a nomadic desert journey. It's all about this survivalist, self-surviving idea. It's almost uncharacteristic of our brand. I approached this collection from a different perspective and used some things that I absolutely hate. I used cargo pockets, and I hate cargo packets. Really though. I do. But they work with the vision of this collection. It became fun exploring something different," explained young and talented Skingraft's designer, Jonny Cota.

Founded in 2013, by H. focuses on creating avant-garde inspired design that is not driven by trend and goes well with all seasons.
For their latest collection by H. focus on developing new fabric and techniques by working closely with different method of patterning. Teamed up with specialized textile company, they have developed a series of new exclusive fabric that is made out of recycled oyster shell. Other than that, elements including ramie, brushed cotton, washed cotton, viscose blend are also used for this collection.

Artistic soul, Irina Chervenkova brings up another futuristic themed collection. The brand focus on using finest natural materials, creating aesthetics and unique identity. Clothing line managed to embody maximum femininity, perfect silhouette, rigor in the selection of materials, performance and impeccable finishing.
