Thamanyah - F/W 2015

The Thamanyah Fall 2015 collection represents a Bedouin approach to Western tailoring. Creative Director Ahmed Abdelrahman invents his idea of a post-petroleum Bedouin gentleman, who seeks to mirror the rapid economic growth of the region, with his sartorial evolution. The collection’s aesthetics are influenced by the ascetic writings of Khalil Gibran. The general tone remains quiet and contemplative, with luxuriously consumptive details like dolman sleeve shapes, cocoon backs and oversized scarves, executed in fine Italian fabrics.

Who? Gareth Pugh;
Where? London Fashion Week;
What? Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection presentation;
Known for his dark and dramatic fashion, Gareth Pugh celebrates a milestone decade of his work, as well as his return to London, city where it all began. The show opened with an artsy film presentation by Ruth Hogben and continues with strong and breathtaking Crusade alike warriors walking down the catwalk. Voluminous long skirts as well as oversized puffy coats, combination of leather and fur, PVC alike stiff boots, authentic collars and hats... all combines with Saint George’s cross painted over face. End of the show was very powerful - individual walking with bare chest with the cross over it, waving huge red flag. Red for love, red for war, red for England.

Army Of Me - A/W 2015

Swedish menswear label ARMY OF ME unveiled another great collection for A/W 2015, and this time during the Mercedes Benz fashion week Amsterdam. Continuing where they stopped, duo Wahlberg and Sjöblom is just getting better and better in what they are doing. For A/W 2015 standard monochrome palette got addition - orange. Seems like a new black for upcoming season, but it breaks the monotony and serving as a great detail. Collection itself is very nicely layered, strong lines, clean cuts and something between military and urban style with a touch of futuristic, making it very much wearable.

Another solid collection from Japanese label DEVOA. With each season they keep improving, exploring and mixing different materials creating innovation on various fields in fashion. Addition to AW 15 collection is blue metallic leather in combination with stretch washi that was introduced previously. The collection itself is pretty fit with clean cuts, different elements and styles of which some resemble DEVOA's earlier work combined with new style.
