Phoebe Heess studied fashion design at the ESMOD in Munich and Berlin. After her graduation she interned and worked for Adidas, Limi Feu Tokyo and House of Holland and became cofounder of the label HectorHector. She currently designs for Adidas for their Stella McCartney line as well as her own collection. Her style is based on the work of Pierre Soulages, whose monochromatic black sujet elaborates on the colours different black surfaces reflect when lighted.
Black Current is Phoebe Heess' second solo collection. It is inspired by the treshold between the net, quantum mechanics and magic and the functional clothing that can be worn in the future.
Black is not a colour, black is a current.
