RedSofa x Ovate

Inspired by nature and human nature, RedSofa is a jewellery line by Montreal-based metalsmith and designer Joanna Szkiela. RedSofa’s aesthetic favours dark-hewn sterling silver mixed with rough, uncut stones. The organic and edgy pieces for men and women are all about eclectic, unaffected style and understated elegance.

Alexandra Moura - A/W 2014-15

Portuguese designer Alexandra Moura presented her collection during ModaLisboa. Collection was inspired by "Witches of Hadramaut" also known as "Witches of Yemen". Women in the Hadramaut area wear all black and the ones who work in the fields wear tall conical shaped straw sunhats, like witches hats, which contrast quite starkly with their black clothes. Collection is in touch with nature and at same time mix of tradition and modern.

Anne Sofie Madsen - A/W 2014-15

Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen presented Artic futuristic look for upcoming season A/W 2014-15 on Copenhagen Fashion Week. Designer was mainly inspired by the namesake video installation by French artist Pierre Huyghe, "Journey That Wasn’t" for the dystopian  collection. The whole collection focuses on form and surfaces as silk, microfibers, cotton, and neoprene are a contrasted with metallic D-rings, chains, and thick leathers developed by Anne Sofie Madsen and Ecco. Blue, black, and white leathers have been treated to look like icebergs. A lot of the looks have pieces in fox, mink, shaved mink, and finn raccoon from Copenhagen Fur. JULIAANDBEN - A/W 2014-15

After graduating at the prestigious Berlin design school ESMOD, Julia Heuse founded her eponymous fashion label on graduating in 2008. Channeling her respective influences into a menswear and womanswear label continues to strike a balance between commercial and conceptual, classic and avant-garde and mixes glamour with a unique Berlin street style. Many of the materials have been tie-dyed, bleached, moonwashed or aged to create different effects. Caducity and decay have always been a strong inspiration to the designer whos prints are also based on installations and photographies recontextualizing those Obejects and surfaces.

KTZ - A/W 2014-15 women

Around month ago I done post about KTZ menswear collection for A/W 2014-15. Today I am fulfilling database with female line. Continuing with tribal/religious inspiration designer sized and shaped mens line and created female which means only one - oustanding.  Arctic nomad collection is painted in black and white as merge with nature, cold, snow and Inuit tribe. It is made of oversized sweaters, wool skirts, hooded cardigans and tunics worn over leggins,  with 'puffy' jackets and bombers on top.  But biggest impression on me left THE boots that are some version of ski boots with platform and those combined with chunky jewlery in sun gold color for sure makes nomadic futuristic look and creates perfection.
