MADAME WITH A MISSION - "RE-COVER-UP"

Mag.a Susanne Kreuzberger - name behind MADAME WITH A MISSION formed in 2010. Susanne describes that her challenge is joy and tensions in respect to the unlimited possibilities and desires. She mirror the desire in sculpture of the body in all its varieties and connotations as source of inspiration and target at the same time. "I am describing my clothing as an extension and supplementation of the body sculptur, it is giving me the possibility to move and/or emphasize proportions of the body. Variation and deconstruction of patterns as well as playing with the structure of fabrics are my tool to reshape the body/physics. My aim is keep on playing with options and possibilities, no matter what age and independent of any seasonal trends."

Lars Andersson - A/W 2014-15 (womenswear)

In my last post I presented Lars Andersson menswear line for fall 2014-15. Today I am fulfilling database with female line that was presented on NYFW. Also made od light weight knits, asymmetrical-hooded cardigans, loose-flowing skirts and pants, oversize and long tops. Whole collection is nicely layered, light, cozy, warm and very feminine.

Lars Andersson - A/W 2014-15

Originally from Sweden and based in New York, Lars Andersson is designer who focus on knitwear. His own description of his collections and styles is “dark urban hippie."
Collection for A/W 2014-15 is made of mix of dark colors like maroon, deep plum, and black. This keeps with the dark feel the designer loves so much. Several of the style knits have V-necks or low rounded necklines, which add a nice shape to a simple and comfortable sweater. Many of these looks have extra detail on the cuffs as well as the bottom of the sweaters, which makes his designs have a thicker look and comfortable. Some of the cardigans include a fabric belt, which almost makes it appear to have a robe like look to it. This provides a sense of coziness as well as easiness. The hoods for these cardigans are also extremely long and slightly dramatic, which allows for a sense of darkness, which is a key feature of his looks.

Luba Gnasevych - A/W 2014-15

Ukraine born and New York based designer Luba Gnasevych presented her new collection for fall/winter 2014-15. By following her work it is obvious that with each new collection designer improves her craftsmanship skills, but still keeping with original idea of combining classic with cutting-edge, multi-functional man-made materials.
Collection for A/W 2014-15 is more wearable, light layered, combination of materials, plain cuts and painted black with zippers as main detail and that is allowing wearer to create it's own style, from simplicity to extreme.

Leon Louis - A/W 2014-15

Leon Louis explores a return to an achromatic essence of precise layering. Expressed here through the sculpting a second layer of skin, seamlessly intertwined with our bodies. Protective, shielding and morphing neatly with each corporal movement. A/W14 appraises traditional construction techniques, local craftsmanship and immaculate tailoring. The postmodern garments are an exercise of careful dissection and sartorial examination.
Leon Louis traveller values personal expression and the opulent patina of travelling garments throughout our lives. Without compromising on wearability, the brand allows for individual interaction with quality fabrics. Such selected fabrics will be subjected to altered compositions, allowing them to become one with their righteous bearers, illusively through elegant movements and the ever so prone test of immortal times.

Valentim Quaresma - A/W 2014-15

Collection under name "Cash" for upcoming season of A/W 2014-15, designer Valentim Quaresma presented at ModaLisboa Vision edition.
The collection features unique jewelry and accessories, body harnesses and leather details that have thin line between fetishism and dystopian/nomad fashion.

SOSNOVSKA - A/W 2014-15

SOSNOVSKA explores the constitutional dimensions of static silhouettes. Rigidly and stripped from all décor, they appear to express a clear external focus, referring purposefully to their monotone surroundings. The garment lines are stern, whereas linear shapes invite for openness in sartorial interaction. Fabrics are carefully constructed, thusly form fitting, narrowly shaped and meticulously altered.
